Because SOCKS is filling gaps by providing: Construction of handicap ramps for homes Monday Night Meals for the shut-in Tents, sleeping bags, clothes, blankets, personal hygiene items, water, and food for the homeless Food for various community service organizations serving the underserved Delivering, basic needs to those ravaged by storms all over the state. And so much more... We do a lot to close gaps of service within our community!

SOCKS is a non-profit, 501(c)3, volunteer-only organization of Christians responding to Jesus' charge by serving others. "I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet. So you also should wash one another's feet. I have given you an example. You should do as I have done for you." John 13:14-15
SOCKS endeavors to provide physical necessities for those who find themselves in need, serving in multiple capacities. Whether it is a need for carpentry work, car repairs, food items, health and hygiene products, clothing, or other needs, our goal is to fill in the gaps we identify within our communities.
SOCKS began while serving urban elementary schools, by buying and delivering new socks for the children. From there, the vision grew to starting an organization which would bring together a group of Christians who love people and love to serve. People who were already serving by preparing meals for those in need, providing clothing for adults and children, as well as providing for other physical needs. Every board member has a passion for serving and a desire to provide for those who have been ravaged by the storms of life. Together, we can love others the way God intended.
